What is “Chemicals” about?
“Chemicals,” is an introspective look at the circumstances that change you throughout your life.
It was created as an evaluation of my own treatment with Antidepressant medication. These medications are designed to change who you are and sometimes it feels like you’re slipping away entirely. At the end of the day though, we are the same people we always have been, we’re just burdened.
Bills, money, work, war, politics, traffic, hobbies, personal fears, personal ambitions, family and a ton of other factors all compete for a piece of us and soon you find yourself stretched a little thin. The world can feel like its rusting away beneath your feet, but you don’t want to let anyone down.
Antidepressant medications can make you feel like they are wiping away a part of you. That part of you is the anxiety… Let it go. You never needed it anyway.
