Album: No Time Like the End Times
What is it about?
“Revelation (A Long Time Coming),” is the final track from the upcoming album “No Time Like the End Times.”
This album’s general theme is endings. Revelation is a song that paints a scene of what I think I would be doing in the face of nuclear war. The odds of that are still low, but the world inches closer each day.
Revelation also sums up the album using snippets of lyrics from each song that presents on the album to create something entirely new.
Lyrics: Revelation (A Long Time Coming)
Put on the war god's mantle and cut the umbilical Hope no one's watching while you're falling on your sword And though your tears may mame the skin they won't stop the horsemen Patiently waiting while you bleed out on the floor. One quiet night I woke up in this small house Put a nail in my coffin so I know it won't let me down Don't want it creaking when I go to sleep in the fallout I'm just here for the art of the breakdown. It's been a long time coming I've been searching for something profound To recite when the lights go down And I'm hoping I don't let you down It's been a long time coming The night was black The air was sweet The silence shattered by the screams In the distance sirens wailing Oh so sweet You can hear the seals breaking Sounds like revelation It's been a long time coming My God It's been a long time coming I'm just here for the art of the breakdown I'm just here for the art of the breakdown I'm just looking for something profound To recite when the lights go down I just hope that I don't let you down. I'm just here for the art of the breakdown Its been a long time coming Revelations been a long time coming
